DoubleBump ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Data We Collect

Account & Profile

Name and email address — provided by Apple or Google at sign-in
Nickname — chosen by you during setup
Profile photo — optionally uploaded by you
Social media handles — optionally added by you (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Discord, GitHub, Spotify, Pinterest, Reddit, YouTube, Email)

Device & Technical

Device UUID — generated locally and stored in the device Keychain; used to support bump matching and device integrity
APNs push token — to deliver bump notifications
App version, OS version — for debugging and crash reporting

Motion Data (during bump only)

Accelerometer and gyroscope readings — captured for approximately 150ms during a double-bump gesture; used only to match your bump with a nearby device
Motion data is temporarily stored for bump matching and automatically deleted shortly after processing; it is never used for profiling or sold to third parties

Location (optional)

Location information associated with bump events — only when you grant permission and only after a successful bump
Location is used to display your social map; it is never used for real-time tracking
You can disable location recording at any time in Settings

Encounter Memories (optional)

Text comments up to 100 characters — written by you about a specific encounter
Photos — one photo per encounter, compressed and uploaded by you

Usage Data

Bump events, relationship levels, and feed activity — stored to operate your social graph
Ad interaction events — collected by Google AdMob when you view a rewarded ad

2. How We Use Your Data

To operate the bump matching and social graph features
To display your profile and social links to users you have bumped
To send push notifications about new bumps and level-ups
To show your bump map and encounter history
To serve voluntary rewarded video ads that unlock profile features
To improve app performance and fix bugs

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers:

4. Data Retention

Account and profile data — retained until you delete your account
Bump event records — temporarily retained for matching, then deleted or marked as expired
Relationship and feed data — retained until you delete your account
Location data — retained until you delete your account or disable location sharing
Encounter memories and photos — retained until you delete your account

5. Your Rights & Choices

Access & Correction: View and edit your profile, nickname, social links, and memories in the App at any time
Location: Disable in Settings → Share my location, or revoke permission in iOS Settings → DoubleBump
Push Notifications: Disable in Settings → Push notifications, or in iOS Settings
Account Deletion: Go to Settings → Delete Account to permanently delete all your data. This action is irreversible.

6. Bluetooth

DoubleBump uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect nearby phones during a bump. BLE scanning is used only for proximity detection; we do not store Bluetooth identifiers or pair with other devices. BLE is not used when you are not actively bumping.

7. Children's Privacy

DoubleBump is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us at bangcoderpro@gmail.com.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Row-Level Security policies on our database, and access tokens with automatic rotation.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By downloading or using DoubleBump ("App", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DoubleBump. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Account

You must sign in with an Apple or Google account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. DoubleBump reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. The Service

DoubleBump is a social networking app that allows users to connect by physically bumping their phones together twice. Connections are built exclusively from real-world encounters; no contact importing or manual adding is supported.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (nickname, avatar, social media handles, encounter memories, photos). By submitting content, you grant DoubleBump a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the App.

You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or obscene.

5. Prohibited Conduct

Use the App to harass, bully, or harm any person
Attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the bump matching algorithm
Create fake bump events or manipulate the pairing system
Use automated tools to interact with the App
Violate any applicable law or regulation

6. Ads

DoubleBump may display rewarded video advertisements through Google AdMob. Viewing ads is voluntary and used to unlock certain features. Ad content is governed by Google's advertising policies.

7. Location Data

Location recording is optional and controlled by you in Settings. When enabled, location information of bump events is stored to display your social map. We do not use location data for real-time tracking.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DOUBLEBUMP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for conduct that violates these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
